The Beginnings of the Brunch Project

It's August 2015: All of the new graduate students at Roosevelt University are freaking out about their placement exams. Basically, this determines everything for the rest of their lives ever, so it's kind of a big deal.

Baritone and bourbon enthusiast Ian McGuffin and pianist/composer/anti-Christmas music vigilante Cassandra Kaczor are two of very few students who are in town at this point, so they meet at a local coffee shop to study. After several hours of getting nothing done, they agree to collaborate on a new project for voice and piano instead of worrying about their impending futures.

4-7 weeks, a grant award and many, many, many brunches and related cocktails later, the duo decides to create a full-blown artistic endeavor, named the Dried Tobacco Project. From this is born Brunch Project Publishing, an entity which seeks to address social issues through art and create a new generation of patrons through a friendly and accessible approach to the arts.

We have a few other ideas cooking right now (to be unveiled later!) but until then, we wish you the happiest of brunches, the strongest of adult beverages and the most fulfilling of artistic experiences.
